Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the two biggest shopping days of the year. It’s obvious why they are. It’s after Thanksgiving and we all need to get ready to do our holiday shopping. We have gifts to get for everyone on our gift lists and we also don’t want to miss out on gifting ourselves with some major upgrades to our own homes. Let’s face it, around this time is usually the best time to get big ticket items such as appliances and home technology, and as a person who likes to stock up on outfits, Black Friday is when I do a lot of outfit shopping to set myself up for the Winter and even into next year (Pro Tip: Black Friday is actually the best time to get bathing suits or resort wear for the upcoming summer.)
But Black Friday also comes with a major downfall – IT’S OVERWHELMING. You find yourself sifting through tons and tons of emails trying to actually determine if the sales that you’re being show is actually worth the hype. And often times it is but there are some that you can hit a hard pass one – like the one where they are probably giving you only $10 off an item that will be almost 50% off at the end of the holiday season when it hits clearance. You can wait on that one.
So as you are navigating this Black Friday, you’ll want to take the time and first set yourself up for success. There are great ways to survive Black Friday whether you’re shopping in person or online, but the one biggest that I want to give you to set a budget so that you don’t get yourself caught up and overspend. We all fall into the trap of seeing amazing deals for things that we may think we need but don’t often need. And in that trap, we end up with a little bit of buyer’s remorse and that is not a fun way to spend the holiday season.
When you’ve set your budget, get yourself navigating through all of the amazing deals that are taking place this weekend through Cyber Monday – some even past Monday’s date. I suggest first starting with having your list for the things that you need for yourself as well as your gift lifts so that you can work through them simultaneously while still managing that budget we spoke about.
And to help you navigate, I’ve rounded up a list of some of the worth shopping Black Friday sales to shop this weekend.
